“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27
Former President Donald Trump is poised to sign an executive order titled “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government.” The action is one of over 200 executive measures reportedly scheduled for signing at the Capital One Arena.
According to The Free Press, the order will establish a federal policy that recognizes the biological reality of two sexes: male and female. Key provisions of the order include:
- Affirming government-wide recognition of two biological sexes, clearly defining “male” and “female.”
- Revoking all guidance, policies, forms, and communications that reflect radical gender ideology.
- Mandating that federal agencies adhere to biological definitions when enforcing laws related to sex discrimination.
- Officially defining “woman” as an “adult human female.”
- Requiring federal identification documents, such as passports and personnel records, to reflect biological sex rather than self-declared gender identity.
- Ending the placement of male inmates in women’s prisons and prohibiting taxpayer-funded gender transition procedures for incarcerated individuals.
- Protecting Americans’ First Amendment rights by eliminating mandates for the use of preferred pronouns.
- Extending protections for those who adhere to biological definitions of sex in federally funded entities like workplaces and schools.
An incoming White House official remarked, “What we’re doing today is defining that it is the policy of the United States to recognize two sexes: male and female. These are sexes that are not changeable, and they are grounded in fundamental and incontrovertible reality.”
The order also directs the Department of Health and Human Services to ensure that federal funding is not used to promote “gender ideology.” This includes prohibitions on allocating taxpayer dollars for gender transition procedures.
Additionally, the order impacts federal prison policies by instructing the Bureau of Prisons to house inmates based on their biological sex. This measure may lead to the reassignment of transgender inmates. Further, it aims to end the practice of allowing changes to sex designations on U.S. passports, which currently include male, female, or an “X” option.
These actions align with Trump’s campaign promises to address issues surrounding gender identity. During his campaign, he vowed to “stop the transgender lunacy” and make it U.S. policy to recognize only two genders.
