Big problem:
"All Israel" has NOT been saved.
As the spiritual and the eternal necessarily supersede the fleshly and temporal, so does the Jewish institution,
in whole and in part, give way to the Christian.
The Christian is a "new creation," (2 Cor. 5:17) and all that pertains to his creation is new.
Before it the Jews and the Gentiles stand on the same ground.

Both MUST become the subject of this new creation before they can be regarded as the people of God.
All the claims which the Jews once preferred counts for nothing under the operation of the new creation.
A new birth (John 3:3-6) is just as essential for the Jew as for the Gentile.

The Jewish birth of the flesh avails nothing! Now, all that is acceptable to God is the new creation "in Christ"
His Son.

The fleshly descendants or relatives, the family genealogies mean nothing in the new covenant and creation, for there is but one common denominator for all men, JESUS CHRIST!
All that is "Jewish" has passed away. The Jews are no longer the "people of God."
Their whole religious service has perished along with their distinctive recognition as a nation among all nations.

What purpose God has now with that people remains to be seen.
But it is clear that He has no further purpose with them in regard to the fulfillment of His promise
of blessing the world through them by the Christ, the anointed Messiah, the Saviour of the World.

Christianity has succeeded Judaism, and the whole religious services of Judaism perished with the total
(and final) destruction of the temple in Jerusalem.

Christ is the end of the Law, and of all that pertains to it.
The law was but a pedagogue to lead the Jews to Christ,
so that when He came, all that was Jewish was set aside or dismissed.

All now become "the children of God" by faith in Christ Jesus, in whom
"there is neither Jew nor Greek, There is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female,
for you are all ONE IN JESUS CHRIST!" (Galatians 3:28)

And According to Paul the Apostle in Romans 4:13,16:
"For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would be heir of the world
was not through the law (flesh), but through the righteousness of faith."

"for this reason it is by faith, that it might be in accordance with grace, in order that the promise
may be certain to all descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those
who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all."

It is done! The Old Promise, the Old Covenant made to Abraham and his descendants has been
fulfilled COMPLETELY, IN TOTO! God has fully kept His word to Abraham and the ORIGINAL nation of Israel.
They did indeed inherit and fully possess the "promised land" when "the children of Israel"
entered Canaan under the direction of Moses and his successor, Joshua.

The scriptures claim the fulfillment of all the physical and spiritual promises have accrued, and are complete.
GOD IS NOT RESTORING, FOR A SECOND TIME, an assemblage of people who are only "Jewish" by choice
or birth, and not on the basis of biblical or physical inheritance.
The biblical "nation," recipients of the physical land promises, were long ago scattered and assimilated among
the nations of the world.

The teaching and emphasis of the Bible for today is the fulfillment and fruition of the Abrahamic promise by
and through the appearance in time, space and history, of Jesus Christ.
The Jew was the chosen of God only according to the flesh, and entitled only to the blessings of his covenant.
The Jew is not the chosen of God according to the Spirit, or the seed of Isaac according to the promise.

Every Bible reader and Christian believer should re-examine and re-evaluate his acceptance of Premillennialist
and Literalistic teaching which has so unjustly "forced" God to be in support of, indeed responsible for, the
grievous injustice of the "Theft of a Nation" in the partition of Palestine.

Jaime

Every Bible reader needs to understand and dismiss totally the concept of Preterism.

Also the Palestinians would have had their own land beside the Jews had they not vacated in 1948 at the warning of the other Arabs prior to the Arab invasion. They have no right of return. This was additionally confirmed in 1967. For God to hate the Jews so much and to love the descendents of Ishmael, he has a funny way of showing that, in his several miraculous deliverance of Israel in their various wars with the Arabs. Ignoring the Bible, I would never support the Palestinians given the history of the conflict, and the character of the figures on their side, but you can if you wish.

The Palestinians did not "vacate" the land....They were pushed out by the Balfour Document.
The Zionists took advantage and did as the U.S Government did to the American Indian.

What does this have to do with Romans 11:26?
You found a way to "save all Israel"?
A Biblical Jew is like the dinosaur...extinct....
Have you tried handing out a Christian tract in downtown Jerusalem?
It is against their law.....No proselytizing!

Abraham Foxman, director of the Anti Defamation League has little use for John Hagee, founder of
Christians United for Israel. Old John has a 7% favorable rating among American "Jews" and that is just
2% higher than Rev. Jeremiah "Jews-are-Satan" Wright.
The organization "Jewish Voice for Peace" calls Hagee a "hate-monger" and a group called "J Street"
bullied Sen. John McCain into cutting ties with Hagee.

"Many Jews are wary about trusting Christians because of historical reasons, On top of that, most
Christian Zionist are evangelicals group that Jews tend to look down upon as fundamentalist,
Right-wing, bitter, and ignorant." (Jerusalem Post, Alen Goodman).
They must have read Hal Lindsey's "The Late Great Planet Earth."

Get right in there with em Jaime.......Go tell "all Israel" that Christ is coming back to set up His kingdom.
Explain the "thousand year reign," and by all means "the tribulation" to Abraham Foxman.
I know your theory of the "rapture" will get a fast "return" from the "Jews" in Sunny Florida...lol...lol

I have never said all Israel will be saved. I believe all of the saved will be Israel or God's people. I have repeatedly said a remnant will be saved.

I don't believe in a pre-trib secret rapture.

Depending on who you read, there most definitely IS a controversy of why the Arabs left. Based on their sorry history of deception since, I don't believe they are the victims you portray. If they wanted peace with Israel, they could have it, but they don't want it. Arafat's refusal of the dal Clinton negotiated was proof of that. It scared the crap out of Arafat when it looked like he was going to get the vast majority of what he wanted. He recalled Anwar Sadat's fate.

Listen to Walid Shoebat. He has no timeline prophecies. He tells the truth of the hate within the Palestinian society. He was a Jihadist that became a Christtian. He lived the systemic hatred in that society. Forget preterism for a brief moment and read his book, "Why I left Jihad".

I came from a long line of anti-Semitic preterist. It never made sense. John Hagee is not one of my favorites. Walid Shoebat though is very compelling, not in an anti-preterist sense, but in sense of this Jihad business is not an aberation, but a systemically and intentionally propigated cancer from a Satanic religion, brought to light by the events and aftermath of 911. Issues with the Jews aside.

Just an aside, I have a fellow Church of Christ friend here in West Texas that has had some business ties in Israel and he has developed a relation with a couple of what he calls high ranking orthodox rabbis. He told me that 2 of them have confided to him that secretly belief in Jesus as Messiah is not that far off for several rabbis. They are privately convicted, but publiclly they don't feel they can come out yet. Ironically, they admit that the Torah Codes that they put great stock in have been what has convicted them. The imbedded codes in Isaiah 53 that say repeatedly, "His name is Yeshua" has been overwhelming to them.  They are being convinced of the Truth by their own meticulously maintained and curried Hebrew language. I never put much stock in the Torah codes, but there has been a lot of history with them and the rabbinic establishment in Israel.

By the way Pointmade, let's both drop the sarcasm and snideness. It doesn't do either one of us any good. I will try to be better. I hope you will too. I realize our views are mostly if not totally incompatible.

Seriously though, next time you are in a book store, invest $15  or so in Shoebat's book. Why I Left Jihad. It does not argue against preterism, but it does argue against and point out the deceptions of Islam, which to me is the crux of the whole Middle East situation.

Esther

::frown::  I don't mean to be offensive, but your argument about the Jews being cast aside by God because "they killed the Son" is a classic, anti-Semitic argument that has been around since the actual crucifixion.  It has been used for thousands of years for the purpose of enabling people to persecute the Jews relentlessly!  Genesis 17: 7--8 states very clearly that God's covenant with Israel is an "everlasting covenant."  the Hebrew term for everlasting is a word that means the Covenant has no beginning (since it is inherent in God's very character) and NO ENDING!  It is ETERNAL, and since it is given by God's grace and His choice, it cannot be earned by good works or destroyed by bad ones (or sinful behavior).  Furthermore, the Jews didn't "kill Christ."  He suffered and died for sinners, and that is ALL of us (Rom. 3:23)!  I think it is possible that you are coming from a place of prejudice--probably taught to you as a child--rather than from a knowledge of Scripture.  This is not a game of "one-upmanship."  I'm not superior to you.  You are obviously very intelligent and educated, but please think this through.  You are in a dangerous position, and may lose your blessing because of your attitudes toward the Jewish people.  This message extends to anyone who actually believes that God has changed His mind about His promises.

Jaime: "Forget preterism for a brief moment and read his book, "Why I left Jihad".

Jaime..I am not a "preterist!
I believe they are as screwed up as the millennialist.

Note that Esther has call me  "anti Semitic."
That is funny!
Esther, evidently does not know that the Palestinians are Semitic people.
Both Arab and Jew are Semites,
Therefore, if one is "anti-semitic" today, he is then, against five ancient peoples including the Arabs!
Esther must have missed her ancient history class not knowing that the "Semitic people' are
Assyrians, Babylonian, Chaldean, Amorites, Aramaeans, Canaanites (including Phoenicians) Arabians, and Abyssinian as well as the Hebrew. Most Semities of today speak Arabic, which is also spoken by millions of non-Semites.

Today....This phrase "anti-semitic" has been loosely used to incriminate and indict those who oppose the Zionist dream, or speak of the injustices being perpetuated against the Palestinian People.

Most who look at the conflict between the Jew and Palestinian do not realize that the Jew and Palestinian lived side beside
before the Balfour Doctrine in complete harmony.

Esther does not know her history or she would know that the Palestine Arabs still living in Palestine are true descendants
of the original semitical inhabitants, Their roots do not lie in Syria or Lebanon, Jordon or Egypt, but rather the only
country they have ever known as their homeland, the land of Palestine.

Esther does not know that the Balfour document was completed as early as 1915, it was kept secret by the British in order to enjoy the aid of the Arab people in figting Germans.

Esther, not know that in 1917 during World War 1, the British government gave a promise to the Zionists that they(the British) would fully support their aims and goals with regard to Palestine.
Their promise was embodied in the Balfour Declaration.
Ever wonder why the British are not sitting at the "Peace Table" with the Zionist and Palestinian heads of state?

The British government is a class act indeed. They accepted the aid of the Arab people in fighting the German invasion of the Middle-East, yet secretly conspired to "sell out" their Arab allies to the Zionist dream of a new homeland.
It is on file that the British Secretary General sent a letter to the Zionist Organization and specifically to Baron Rothschild,
encourgaging the Jews to "take" Palestine as their homeland.

We know now, it was kept secret also because a serious division was already in place among the orthodox Jews
and those adhering to the Zionist Organization's claims and manifesto.
By the way: the orthodox Jews are not in love with the Zionists.
So, if you believe the Zionists are the "remnant" of Romans 11....tell it to an orthodox Jew!

Also, you must realize that the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem was in cahoots with Hitler. Same goals. That is very well documented.

Who said anything about the Zionists being the remnant of Romans 11?

Had I never seen a Bible, it would be clear to me who the good guys are in the conflict and it ain't the Palestinians, not that the Jews have been stellar either. Most of the rest of the Arabs won't lift a hand for the Palestinians other than to keep the scab of the issue knocked off so the world will be against their enemy Israel. The Jordanians didn't even want them, and that is what most of them are technically.

Plus if you believe all was fulfilled in AD 70, as you have stated I believe, you are a Preterist.

Anti-Semites are folks that want to see Israel destroyed, such as I'manutjob in Iran and Hamas and Hezbollah and the like. If you sympathize with any of those, you might be an anti-Semite in the holocaust sense. If you don't care for the term Anti-Semite, then possibly you are just Anti-Jewish. I certainly was at one time. I was misinformed.

Again, bible aside, the side I'm on is clear. Deception was all that ever came out of Yasser Arafat's mouth for 30 plus years. He did the most disservice to the Palestinians of any human on earth.

Also, check and see if any Jews are in positions of power in any Muslim country. There are several Muslims in the Israeli Kinnesset. Weird for such a barbaric hate filled people. Also there are Arabs living in Peace among the Israelis  in Israel proper (not the so called "occupied territories". An assimilated Arab in Israel is probably the most fortunate of any Arab in the world, especially if they are women!

WHAT REALLY HAPPENED IN 1948 (From a Palestinian - now Israeli - Arab)

QuoteIt is not my intent to discuss who belongs in that tiny region called Israel, but I will risk being shunned by my own community to set the record straight. The question is: why did Arabs flee the area that became Israel? After all, the ones who remained in their homes still live there today and prosper.

Oh come now....you call me "anit Semitic."
Yet, you say noting about Jesus calling this outfit "serpents," a "generations of vipers"?

You say: "You are in a dangerous position, and may lose your blessing because of your attitudes toward the Jewish people.  This message extends to anyone who actually believes that God has changed His mind about His promises."

I simply do not find in Acts 2:38 a requirement that I must have any "attitude" toward the Jewish people.
When God "added" those who accepted Peter's words at Pentecost...Were they "added" or not?

Was a questionnaire put before them about what they thought of the second coming, or the state of Israel.
I do not imagine that the Ethiopian eunuch gave a second thought about the Jews who crucified Christ.
When God says "repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins" there was not a stipulation that the Jew must be restored in ones belief.

When Jesus said, "Behold your house is left unto you desolate" (Ma. 23:33)
What do you think He meant?
That he would restore this "den of thieves" at a latter date by sympathetic supporters
who believe Jesus did not set up His kingdom at His first coming!

I would say that you have let your millennilist theology guide your eschotological thought.
Since you believe that God has a plan of salvation for the Jew,
Would this make my belief by faith nul and void?

Would we now have two plans of salvation?
Jesus is not the ONLY way?
The "alleged Jew" is bailed out on a return to what?
A House left desolate?

You do not believe Peter's words at Pentecost were inspiried?

Esther

First, an apology:  I think TheThinker stated that God was done with the Jews "because they killed the son."  That was not you.  You do seem to be saying that God is done with the Jews though, and that is simply not the truth!  Since I have already given you the verses on why (Gen. 17:7--8), I don't really see any point in being repititious.  You are in danger of losing your blessing, and here is why:  ""Now the Lord said to ABRAHAM . . . I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great, and you shall be a blessing.  I WILL BLESS THOSE WHO BLESS YOU AND CURSE THOSE WHO CURSE YOU, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.  Gen. 12:1--3.  This is clear and simple, and your choice is to accept or reject it.  God's Word is either true or not.  You decide!  But to perpetrate anti-Israel, anti-Jewish, or anti-Semitic philosophy puts you in danger of forfeiting your blessings.  Personally, I have decided not to be defensive or engage in a power struggle with you.  I also will not allow you to drive a spiritual/psychological wedge between myself and the seed of Abraham, God's Chosen people!  Nice try though.  That's because my love for the Jewish people is UNCONDITIONAL--the same way that God loves them and all of us.

TO ALL,

I had posted this on another site and decided to duplicate it here.

Jesus CLEARLY taught that the Jews blew it when they killed the Son

Quote33 "Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he LEASED it to vinedressers and went into a far country. 34 Now when vintage-time drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive its fruit. 35 And the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another. 36 Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them. 37 Then last of all he sent his son to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.' 38 But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.' 39 So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him.
40 "Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?

Hi Esther
Amen! Welcome to the forum and good point.
And the princes and kings of this world are not all flesh and blood:

Psalms 22:12-18
12.  Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.
13.  They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.
14.  I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
15.  My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.
16.  For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
17.  I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.
18.  They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

Deuteronomy 3:8-11
8.  And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon;
9.  Which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion; and the Amorites call it Shenir;
10.  All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
11.  For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

Acts 4:25-27
25.  Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?
26.  The kings of the earth stood up, and the Archons were gathered together against the Kuriou, and against his Christou.
27.  For of a truth against thy holy servant-child Yeshua, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together.

ConsummingFire: "This is the correct response."

That is a nice verse to lift from Paul's letter.
This verse is anchored by the next verse:
"Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

The question each must ask: am I in Christ Jesus?
Is the Bible explicit in how one is "in Christ Jesus"?
"There is therefore NOW no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1).
Is Paul explicit in Galatians 3:27-29?

Esther you say: "That's because my love for the Jewish people is UNCONDITIONAL--the same way that God loves them and all of us.'
That's nice Esther......but, if the Jewish people are not "in Christ Jesus" does your love for them lift the
mark of "condemnation" off their responsibility to accept Jesus of Nazareth as the Messiah?
God loves all men, even those who go to hell.

Is the "Jew" today "in Christ Jesus"?
If not, then they are still under the law?
But, Paul said before your favorite verse you have quoted in Romans 3:23...
"By the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight:
for the law is the knowledge of sin" (Romans 3:20).

Looks to me like the "Jew" is between a rock and a hard place.
They cannot keep the law because the "middle wall of partition," the Mosaic system,
which classified mankind as Jew and Gentile as been broken down,

You do understand that in His death, Jesus shed His blood, which alone cleanses a sinner from his sin?
You do understand that to make this distinction (Jew and Gentile) again, this Mosaic law MUST be reinstated?
In order to make such a distinction again, the types, shadows, animal sacrifices and burning of incense, etc.,
must be restored.
You do understand that if this Mosaic law was to be reinstated
you and I would be between a rock and a hard place?

You say why? Well Esther, if Messiah has not come, as the Jews say, then I,
as a Gentile would still be an alien to the Covenant of promise, the Mosaic law.
Meaning I would be yet in my sins, not being reconciled to God in the BODY the church (Eph. 2:11-22).
Oh what a tangled web we weave, when trying to remove the Mosaic law from His tree.....

Esther

 ::smile::
Dear daq,  Thank you for your support.  It's really nice to have someone agree with you.  Appreciate it.  Esther

Esther

Dear Pointmade,

Thanks for keeping me in my Bible and on my toes.  I think it's more sound and safer to take the whole chapter as context for interpretation rather than attempting to "anchor" a man-made interpretation to only one verse used out of context.  Yes, my unconditional love for the Jewish people and Israel is sincere and supportive, but my love can't remove judgement anymore than your condemnation can damn them.  We don't have the right to judge whether a person is saved or not, or will be, or not.  "Judge not lest you be judged."  (Matt. 7:1)  The condemnation you aim at others will come back on you.  (Matt. 7:2)

Certainly, the Law justifies no one, and only the blood of Jesus cleanses from sin.  On that, we agree.  Is the Jew today in Christ Jesus?  Yes, some are, some not yet--but it's coming!  I personally know many Jewish people who have accepted Jesus as their Messiah and Savior.  (This is why the Messianic Movement is so strong and growing.)  Israel's rejection by God is ONLY TEMPORARY!  "Until the fullness of the Gentiles . . . "  (until the elect of the Gentiles are all saved/Rom.11:25) and then "ALL ISRAEL SHALL BE SAVED."  (Rom. 11:26)  Romans 11 clearly explains God's future plans for Israel is "to take away their sins."  (Rom. 11:27)  Like it or not, there it is in the Word of God.  You can accept it or reject it.  It's up to you.  Sometimes I ask myself if you really believe the concepts you argue for, or are you just keeping a hot topic going?  If you really believe what you argue for, then you might want to check out the status of your "blessings."  (Gen. 12"3)  Esther

Amo

19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. 20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. 23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. 24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree? 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:  Romans 11:19-26 (KJV)
