Let me clear that up ( before I have a bunch of religious zealots jumping on me)..When I say they used the "Bible", I do not mean the entire bible is wrong...

But, there are a 'few' things in scripture that MAN PUT THERE..and you are sadly mistaken and deceived if you think it is not so.

We have a corrupt institution responsible for putting the "Bible" together. We are talking about an institution that is totally pagan and incorporated everything pagan into the "Holy" church. They worked off of 'fear'..to keep the people afraid..They still work off of fear today and have indoctrinated the MASSES to believe in this fear-based gospel...this is a belief they have.

"You must come through the Holy Roman Catholic Church to be truly saved, if not you will go and burn in hell"...

What better  tool to use than the 'Bible' to be a big part of his ( satan) major deception and work?

Fortunately UR has its won forum for debate so no I'm not trying to start a debate I'm really just making sure everyone is aware that your theology is rooted in a different doctrine

That's fair isn't it...we should all have an idea of which beliefs each of us is rooted

I do not see everybody going around saying, "Hi, My name is Lutheran".."Hi, My name is Word of Faith" in every thread.

There are many who are totally against  WOF doctrines too, I would be one of them.

Sorry to inform you, but you can not and will not control what I say once again. Most WOF believers thrive off of 'control' and 'manipulation' as you are trying to display today...it won't work.

What you believe about eternal torment is a pagan-doctrine, and to call it anything else would be a lie from the pit of hell.  

It is a pagan-based belief passed into the church as is many other things.

I know you are more comfortable with what you have known as truth, but it is not..and to tell me to call what I believe to be a lie the truth is a form of control because it does not offend you.

The truth of the case of the lost being permanently cut off from the Creator is not a pagan belief.  It was the  pagans who picked up the concept of the immortal soul from the Israelites, not vice versa.  
God was completely against His people mingling their religion with the Egyptians and for good cause.  Now we have archaeologists running around claiming that Judaism and Christianity are just a compilation of the many mythological religions that date back to Egypt.  But they have it backwards.  In reality, Egypt's religion was a mixture of myth and a little Judaism sprinkled in.   Much like Roman Catholicism started off with a little pagan and a little christianity.

Actually the Bible is quite plain about taking offense, giving offense, bearing one another's burdens, and acting out of love.

What I'm reading in this thread amazes me for I'm definitely reading some vulgar pagan attitudes towards others.  Since we are to die to ourselves in Christ, I'm finding it hard to engage in self-justification and refusal to admit the responsibility of learning what the truth is rather than just presuming one's interpretation is correct automatically.

I'm not bringing this up to give folks a hard time.  I'm hoping that we can have straight forward discussion within our devout faith and practice.

The Bible speaks more about our attitudes and behaviors towards God and others more than about Hell - and the Bible definitely does not talk about the Roman Catholic Church, and presents two ways of speaking about Hell that can be understood to refer to destruction or eternal torment.

Perhaps someday we will grow up and not be so demanding.  In the meantime, I'm getting tired of people claiming to be following Jesus while they are rude, crude and arrogent.

Hey I wish that eternal damnation was not in the bible.  Actually the bible does not teach that the lost will be tormented forever in hell because hell itself will be destroyed at some point in the future. At the final judgement the dead will be raised from the SEA(?), from hell, and from DEATH(?), three places, should not all the lost dead be in hell?

Quick analogy to me; The bodies of all men are either in the grave or the sea. The souls of men are either in paradise or hell. Notice we don't read of paradise being thrown into hell. Their bodies are caught up such as in Matthew 27:52  And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose.
